I’ve mailed 42 care packages to soldiers and Marines in Afghanistan and Iraq. But I hadn’t heard from anyone on whether they had gotten there. And I got back a bday card that had been sent in October. I was very worried.

But the Marines came through! Even though their boxes weren’t shipped in the first two weeks, one of them emailed me and told me that my box got there okay! I am so glad.

He sent cool pictures too. He’s been married almost as long as I have and has three kids. His family lives in Corpus right now while he’s gone.
