I’m working on a new novel (not from my fantasy series, which is not yet finished) and at some point one of the characters thinks another character is goth. In order to determine if she is, in fact, goth, he asks about another character who IS goth and asks what makes goth.

I found a series of questions on line that sound to me much like an attempt to put together a description of goth. Though it does not say that is what it is. And some of those things could and do apply to non-goths.
