Missions’ Class

Last week we studied Rahab, the scarlet rope, and Jericho. We talked about the Ukraine, since the kids sent packages to an orphanage there. I started out the class with seat work and that was not a good plan.

So… I had the story of Ruth and Naomi written out. Each time I said Ruth, they were supposed to stand up. Each time I said Naomi, they were supposed to sit down. We read through it twice. The second time we had one winner. Everyone got a piece of candy and the winner got two.

Also this week we played musical chairs, to get a seat with a balloon in it. Inside the balloon was the name of one of our missionaries. We had eight balloons. We did a total of five different sets of musical chairs. We prayed for the missionaries each time. The last time SA prayed for them in Spanish. Then SA showed them a power point presentation on Venezuela and our missionaries.

SG had brought wheat and she showed the girls how to weave wheat together. It was interesting.

We had a good time.

Next week we are going to a living Nativity at the next door church. I hope some of the parents show up. Otherwise it is going to be wild with just three or four of us trying to keep in touch with 20-25 kids.
