I drove M and I over to his church parking lot and he reversed, put the car in gear, started turning, and did about twenty loops around the parking lot. He was too paranoid sometimes and sometimes not paranoid enough. His favorite word for the experience was “unnerving.”
We drove about thirty minutes.
He did not use the accelerator much. When he did, it wasn’t a gentle push, but more of a jerk. But he got better at that. The worst thing he did, in my opinion, was wrestle the wheel back and forth. The car is huge and ponderous, so it didn’t do much, but if he were in a smaller car or on wet roads, he would have been wrecking with that particular movement. Before we finished he had stopped doing that.
He parked perfectly.
