I learned something new today. I always thought my friend Monteserrat of Montse and Ignacio had a French name or a Swiss name. She was born to Catalunan parents in Switzerland. Now, in an article from Cranky Professor, I see that Montserrat is the name of an important Catalunan Virgin. One of the “black virgins” of Romanesque Europe.

(Not that I have a clue what that means.)
