Let’s think about that. Unit sales dropped 1%. “As sales have lagged, book prices have forged ahead.” Maybe that’s why unit sales have dropped? And you can buy used books on eBay? And at the library book sale?

I probably bought 1000 books this last year. I probably bought 50 at the bookstore. Has my consumption dropped? No. Just my place of purchase has changed.
