What did I learn?
I now know where those very tiny Hispanic people come from. If you’ve ever seen them, you know the ones. They’re four feet something? They’re Maya. My friend JPB’s dad is probably of Maya extraction. He’s very short.

My guide also said there is a birthmark for the Maya people, even if you only have a drop of Maya blood it seems to be dominant. It looks like a bruise on the tailbone area, not the buttocks, and it generally fades away by the age of ten, though it doesn’t always.

Also, he said, the more pure strains of Maya people have eyelids that are slanted.

And, since he is of Maya extraction, I am going with his and the literature around here’s use of Maya instead of Mayan
