Body for Life has been the best for me at losing and keeping weight off. That’s because you have to exercise and exercise is good for you.
I have very low cholesterol, which is supposed to be good, but my HDLs are not as high as the doctors prefer. The folks at Hotze said that exercise will raise my HDLs, so I guess those will be going up.
Yesterday I rode 8 miles on a bike.
Today I walked the dog 2 miles. I should have been doing weights, but I am sick- nauseous and I can still feel the world turning. You’re not supposed to do that, you know.
My plan is to do aerobics five times a week and weights three times a week. I’d do two, but that’s only enough to keep you up with where you are. I figure I’ll do three strong aerobic days and two light aerobic days, just to make sure I keep moving.
The 100 oz of water is hard right now.
One thing I need to think of is that I want to keep going down. I want to get healthier and STAY healthier.
The good thing about 2006 is that at least my high weight was lower than my high weight in 2005. Too bad my low weight in 2006 wasn’t my lowest weight, in October of 2004 I weighed 155. That’s my lowest in the six years we’ve lived in Houston.
In North Carolina my lowest was 150, I think. That was back in 1994.
In Abilene, on that eat our food program, I weighed 145 for several weeks. That was in 1990 or early 1991. But I never lost any more.
I want to be healthy. I want to fit in my clothes. I want to look good.
This last year has been the first time I have visually seen myself as fat. When I look in the mirror, I get grossed out.
I want to get rid of that and be healthy.
